On 23/01/2011 Manorama Online had a news about BSC Nursing Education loan. In that news they mentions any student can get Four Lakh Rupees (400000/-) for BSE nursing education. Before it was Two Lakh Rupees, now that amount is Four Lack and course fee also now Four Lakh Rupees. After 6th year they should pay 6.15 Lakh included with 12% interest or they should pay next Six Year every month 12050 RS. According to our low if your salary is Thirty Thousand Rupees (30000/-) then only you can pay 12050 RS every month, that means you can't pay more than 40% of your salary. But the truth is our nurses are getting 3000 to 6000 RS only in Kerala. If they will work in other States may be they will get better than this but living cost is big.

In the future this is a big issue, may be we will hear nurse's suicide like farmers suicide. That's why I decided to study about this matter, first I checked our Statistics Department web site, that is still in 2001–2002. They are not upgraded their website. According to the Times of India web site "India has 2000 nursing diploma Schools, 1200 nursing degree Schools and 281 MSE nursing Colleges. Annually our country produces around 60000 nurses, majority of them are work in the private sector."

Now a days in Kerala, after +2 our talented boys and girls are like to join nursing education, their parents also like that. Because in the USA and UK nurses are getting One Lakh Rupees salary. Few years back nursing job was a service but now that is a money making job only. In US and UK their students not like nursing jobs, because of low salary. Their last job option is nursing job. Our nurses are attracted for One Lakh Rupees but they don’t know, their cost of living is expensive, hear Basmati Rice price  is 50 RS per 1 KG in US they will pay approximately 675 RS per 1 KG (Bomba Paella Rice 1KG = $15).

Every year 60000 nurses are coming out from our nursing institutes. We can't give job for all of them. Sum of our male nurses are now working as a hotel suppliers in other States. Because no mail nurse job vacancy's in hospitals, they are waiting for vacancy. Our 20% nurses are going for abroad jobs, but USA, UK and most of the other European Country's are already filled their Indian nurse job cottas and other thing they are selected nurses from other Country's also. If any nurses will go to US or UK they will not come back, they will start their family life their. Because of this things other nurses also not get a chance to work their. Other option is Gulf Country's; sum nurses are getting 30000 – 40000 RS. But their sum private Hospital nurses are still getting 10000 RS only.

Other interesting things is our uneducated employs are now getting good money. For example, I have approximately 30 Coco Palm (Coconut Tree) in my farm.  If I want cut coconut from that palm I should pay 20 RS for each palm. Sum of them are climb more than 50 Coco Palm a day. That means 50*20 = 1000 RS a day, if you calculate one month 1000*30 = 30000/- RS approximately they are getting. In sum area they are using machine also, if it is going this way may be we will see very soon a News Paper advertisement, Nurse Salary 1500/-RS, Coco Palm Climber Salary – 50000/-RS. So all parents should care full about your children's nursing educations, don't spent your all properties or money for this. Because in the near future nursing job is not a money making job, that is a money losing job only.

Now we need to change our boys and girls mind from nursing job to other good modern courses, it will start in 10th Class and teachers should upgrade their knowledge. If you ask a +2 boy or girl about a course may be they knows one Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical or Civil course. Our teachers should teach them about new technologies, modern courses and about salaries. Because of nursing rush we have talent shortage in other courses and field. Our sum teachers are complaining about students, thy say "the new students are not like old students". Of course our students have now more knowledge because of Tele Vision and Internet, but they don’t have an Inspiration. I really started my studies after I'st PDC (11th Class) because of Bishop Kuriacose Mar Kurilose (Thiruvalla: Niranam, Thumbaman Badrasanam Thirumany). I completed my Electronics Course because of that good men. I never find like that a loving person in my life, he was my inspiration and I like, that Institute Principal also.    

          Our students are like clay, teachers can make them any shape. If they have any weakness I blame only for teachers and parents. 1991 batch IAS 1st rank winner Rju Narayana Swamy (Presently Secretary, General Education, Government Of Kerala.) said "my father like to see me, become a collector. When my age is three he showed me Kottayam Cllectrate, Collector office and car". Because of his father now he is a collector, see his father show a way for him. Our all parents are not educated so teachers should show a good way for their students.
